These days news got the headlines in the newspapers that are honor killings in Haryana and some districts in western U. P. These incidents are the most ridiculous manifestation of our society’s orthodox thinking. In my opinion if two major couples wants to get married then no one has any right to put an objection. Even their parents have not any right to object. What they can do is to just breakup their relationship with their child. These are very shameful incidents in our country’s history.
These incidents are gross violations of article 21 of The Constitution of India. We can not be a mere spectator of these honor killings. We have to raise our voices against these injustices done in the name of our tradition and culture.
